About Us

The mission of the Laennec Society is to promote academic excellence in pre-health scholarship and to create an atmosphere of success within the pre-health community at Fordham University.

The Laennec Society is an organization that is open to students interested in any field of the health professions; this includes, but is not limited to, medical doctors, dentists, veterinarians, chiropractors, podiatrists, optometrists, and students bound for graduate school. As officers of the Laennec Society, it is our goal to work as a team to offer all Fordham students seeking admission to health-related professional programs the information and insights necessary to be accepted into the field of their choice. Our purpose is to support you, to provide you with the information that you need, and to answer any questions you might have along the way. We want you to learn from our mistakes. Check out our Information page for more helpful suggestions.

If you would like to join, just show up to our meetings and events! Contact laennecsoc@fordham.edu to be added to the email list and receive updates about our meeting times and events. We hope to see you there!
